About the Gallery

The Prichard Has a New Location

University of Idaho acquired the former Moscow Police Department building on 4th Street and is renovating the facility to house a new Prichard Art Gallery and retail space for a downtown VandalStore.

The first phase of the remodel was focused on increasing accessibility and establishing a curated Vandal gift store in the building. We are currently remodeling the interior and exterior to bring a higher level of fit and finish, enhance the functionality of the workspaces, and provide further connectivity to Friendship Square. As is our tradition, we are involving our own creative community in the re-imagined space.

Our vision extends far beyond mere bricks and mortar. We will build a space that transcends the ordinary—a space that ignites inspiration, fosters creativity, and leaves an indelible mark on every visitor, community member, and cherished member of our Vandal Family. But it is you, our community, that will breathe life into this project.

Donor support will provide:

• Year-round learning lab for students 
• Gathering space with exhibits from world-renowned artists
• Displays of research conducted by our faculty and students
• University special collections 
• After-school programs 
• Art walks and hands-on workshops. 

Endowing the gallery will provide vital programming and access in perpetuity.
