Clean Snowmobile Challenge (SAE)
Club Purpose & Goals
Clean Snowmobile Challenge (CSC) Team— Our CSC team competes annually in the Society of Automotive Engineers Clean Snowmobile Challenge. The team reengineers an existing snowmobile to improve emissions, noise, and fuel economy. The U of I team has competed in the CSC since 2001, winning the competition in 2002, 2003 and 2007 and accumulating more than 50 awards. We are the only team in CSC history to win the coveted Founder's Trophy award back-to-back in 2015 and 2016.
The team's main purpose is shaping students of any discipline into engineers who are ready for industry, giving opportunities for hands-on experience on student-led projects.
How to Join?
The club meets at 5:30 p.m. every Monday in Janssen Engineering Building Room 328. Email us if you’re interested in attending.
