4-H Youth Development

4-H provides opportunities for all youth ages 5 to 18-years-old to participate in innovative and fun programs that help them develop valuable, lifelong skills and leadership abilities to make a difference in their community.

University of Idaho Extension, Washington County offers afterschool programming in office, on a wide variety of topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM).

Each summer, University of Idaho Extension 4-H Youth Development program offers a full-schedule of fun and educational summer classes and workshops. These day camps are designed to introduce youth to new topics in an interactive and engaging manner.

There are many types of volunteers, such as fair supervisors, day camp teachers and project leaders.

Regardless of the position you choose, we will provide training and support. You do not have to know everything — just come willing to help.
